Utilize the MMPI-3 materials and documentation. Assess the rationale for and methods used to develop the 52 MMPI-3 Scales. Case illustrations will be derived from a variety of settings. Attendees will have an opportunity to practice the recommended strategy for MMPI-2-RF interpretation with clinical case examples. Topics include the rationale for, and methods used to develop the instrument, the various materials available to score and interpret the test, understanding the nature of the new normative sample, psychometric functioning of the MMPI-3 scales, and interpretive recommendations. This workshop introduces the 335-item MMPI-3, the most recent version of the MMPI instruments, to psychologists. Presenter: Professor Martin Sellbom, University of Otago Introduction to Using the MMPI-3 in Psychological Practice Become familiar with initial psychometric findings for MMPI-3 and relevance of previous MMPI-2-RF literature. Describe the new MMPI-3 normative sample. Assess the rationale for and general methods used to develop the 52 MMPI-3 Scales. Know the main similarities and differences between MMPI-2-RF and MMPI-3. Furthermore, the second section of this webinar will include case illustrations from different contexts to further illustrate interpretation and use of MMPI-3 information in psychology practice. The webinar will describe the new normative sample and psychometrics of MMPI-3 scales, including how psychologists can rely upon the previous MMPI-2-RF literature in generating inferences based on MMPI-3 information.
This two-hour webinar will assume knowledge of the MMPI-2-RF and will provide an overview of the similarities and differences between the MMPI-2-RF and MMPI-3, including a description of the rationale for and methods used to develop the MMPI-3. **Please note: prior knowledge of the MMPI-2-RF is essential for this bridging workshop Webinar Link: This webinar can be accessed as an on-demand recording via this link Presenter: Professor Martin Sellbom, University of Otago Transitioning from MMPI-2-RF to MMPI-3 in Psychological Practice
